Enviro-Idiots. More BS From the Progressives.

Make no mistake about it. Every time a politician, be they Left, Right, or Red or Blue, or Pink, or Purple, whatever, everyone of them; every time they say something, know that they are lying to you. It may be a lie of omission, or a lie of fabrication. Either way, it's a LIE! They all call it by different names; spin, slant, agenda, expedient, deniable, and any and all conjunctions and subjugation's of those root words. The stated goal of all politicians is "Public Service". Lie! The real goal is power. Maybe it's a deep seated need to be part of the inner circle, to be one of the people that actually knows the "TRUTH" about what's going on. Since knowledge is power, back to motive one. They get their flunkies to attack anyone that dis-agrees with them, and can argue effectively against their power grab du' jour(See 'Sarah Palin', 2008)

Here in Southern Oregon, there are currently two issues on the political hotplate. The first is a liquified natural gas(LNG) pipeline that is planned to run 200+ miles, from the coast, near Coos Bay, to the south central Oregon/California/Nevada border area. It would provide a low cost solution to supplying this area with cost efficient LNG. There is no existing infrastructure of highways to substitute for this pipeline, the existing MOUNTAINS sort of prohibit that option. The current Democratic Senators and Representatives are opposed to the pipeline, the Sierra Club is opposed to it because of it "environmental impact". The Republican Representatives are in favor of it, because it will make for "Affordable" access to LNG for the residents of the area. Both sides are full of $*it. The Democrats are opposed to it because it makes Comrade Obama's Cap and Trade agenda, tougher to pass, because Cap and Tax will cause household utility costs to "necessarily skyrocket"(Barak Obama, 2008), making it harder to institute their wealth re-distribution plans. The Sierra Club is opposed because they really want to remain relevant in the modern world, and to bitch about something reminds them that they are still worthwhile. The Republicans are in favor of it, because the utility that is building the thing, is paying them to be in favor of it. Finally, the utility is simply trying to expand their customer base. The truth is that the utility will need to cut a path through the forest, to allow for the "Footprint" of the pipeline, and a gravel "Service Road", to allow the utilities inspectors to maintain the pipeline. That's it, no more, no less. No more dangerous than having a steel LNG tank in your back yard, and most rural residents are already familiar with that. If you live in a major metropolitan area, and have never lived in the country, you have no idea what it means, and frankly, aren't qualified to have an opinion on the subject, either, so, SHUT UP. You urban types tend to put your two cents worth in, whether it's been asked for or not. I know that you, and the politicians tend to think of us rural types as inbred rubes who aren't smart enough to know what's good for us, so you'll take care of us, but really. First of all, your only concern is that a pipeline might spoil your view as you travel through the forest(Selfish reason, by the way). Please stop trying to take care of us, you idiots have no idea what we need, or don't need. Do not for one minute think that your supposed "Superior Education" is a substitute for being smart. It isn't. Most of you are educated WAY beyond your intelligence.

The second issue on the block regards the flow, or rather the control of the flow, of the water through the Klamath Basin. Oregon has experienced record rainfall this season. The lakes a full and rivers and canals are flowing at capacity. However, according to the "Experts", the use of water by farmers in the basin must be monitored closely, to ensure that they do not use too much water during this drought period. What F*%(ing DROUGHT? The flow must be monitored to ensure that the people downstream and out of state, who have payed these "Experts" great sums of money, get their water, and the farmers who live where the water is, can go pound sand. It's all about power. If you live where the water is, and use what you have, then the government cannot control you, unless you let them put in monitoring stations, like the farmers in the basin did. How'd that work out for you guys? Three years ago, the Government shut off the farmers access to the water that was flowing across their own land. Do not believe a word these people tell you. For that matter, do not automatically believe ME. Go look it up for yourselves, and make up your own minds about what to do about it. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy, get away from letting others tell you what happened, ar why something is important to do. If it is that important, then finding information about it should be a piece of cake. Investigate the subject, thoroughly, and then decide how much control over your life, you're willing to give over to the people that work for you.

Well, it seems that I have bitched long enough. Talk to you all again soon, till then, BYE.

Welcome to the NEW United States of America

Well, it finally happened. President Obama delivered on one of his campaign promises. No, not the one about health care, because this bill does not really deliver that. No, I am referring to his promise to "fundamentally transform this country". Over the next few months, and then accelerating as the changes pick up inevitable momentum, the transformation will become truly visible. Within a ten year period, no one who is of age today, will recognize this country, except perhaps those citizens that emigrated from the old Soviet Bloc, and are old enough to remember what that was like. Those people should have NO trouble identifying what the USA will have transformed into.
This is no idle "Fear Mongering" either. With the passage of this bill, without the required vote in the House of Representatives, merely a vote on an obscure rule change, the Legislature has literally given themselves access to virtually every aspect of our lives. This bill included legislation that covered student loans, health insurance, and God only knows what else. So, thanks to this little 2700 page monstrosity, the Government now has total access, without reason or warrant, to our bank records, tax information, health history, and credit history. For all of you conspiracy loving progressives out there, this bill is the realization of everything you were worried about when Bush passed the Patriot Act, only now they have no need of a warrant of any kind, this bill gives them that access, as a necessary part of properly caring for us.
Now, let's discuss what this benevolence bill is going to cost, shall we? I know that for the last couple of days, the Democrats have been pointing to a Congressional Budget Office(CBO) report that shows this bill will actually reduce the deficit. But that is not the whole story of that report. The CBO stated that, using the parameters as relayed to them by the Office of the President of the United States, and using accounting techniques that were used in both the Enron and Home Mortgage debacles, that yes, the Health Care bill's budgetary provisions would result in a reduction in the national debt, for the first two years. The numbers used were only the costs associated with the basic bill, excluding the costs of any amendments to the bill, under "Best Case" circumstances. The truth is, this piece of excrement is going to cost somewhere between $12 and $17 Trillion in actual costs, and it will drive this country into a financial chasm that will make the Great Depression look like a mere hiccup. Keep in mind too, that it was W.W.II that got us out of that one, not the damned New Deal, which actually made things worse.
Well, for all of you that voted that SOB into office, and gave Reid and Pelosi their seats of power, you got what you asked for, Hope and Change. Hope that they can keep all of their backers happy, and Changes in the Constitution as needed to further whatever agenda they decide, we are too dumb to understand is "Good for us". How do you like it, so far? Just wait till the "Real" price has to be paid, you'll fu*%ing love it, then, I bet?
All of this really goes to prove that we need to re-double our efforts to elect representatives and Senators that actually LIKE the United States, instead of the career politicians that we have had for the past hundred years. That is the change that this country really needs. More men and women with the visionary capabilities of Washington, Jefferson, Mason, Adams, and Franklin, instead of those that look to Marx, Mao, Castro, Chavez, and Gueverra. In the meantime, may God have mercy on us all.
