This is not a review of modern fashion trends, but a political question.
As we discover more and more about the "Health Care Reform Act", which seems to have less and less to with health care, and more and more to do with a Government power grab. How else can anyone explain the provisions in the law that allow the Government to tell Doctors that they must record all of their patients medical history, including conversations with the Doctor, into the patients electronic file, which is available to the governing bureaucracy, so that the bureaucracy can then determine how the Doctor can treat the patient, and how much the treatment will cost. To all of those talking points parrots out there; how can that be done without some form of rationing of care("Death Panel")? Just because Obama said it, does not make it so. The point of this question is; doesn't this provision literally fly in the face of the Constitutional protections granted to Doctor/Patient conversations? How is it that I have more privacy when being questioned by Law Enforcement, than I will have when speaking to my own Doctor? What will be next? Will the Government draft a law that compels the Clergy to testify against you? What about conversations with your spouse? By the way, you need to remember that your Psychiatrist or Psychologist, is a "Health Care provider". Will those conversations, up until now held as sacrosanct, become part of the patients "Medical Record" and therefore subject to Government review, by the IRS, the enforcement agency for this monstrosity of a law?
And seriously, can somebody PLEASE tell me what the hell student loan financing is doing in this bill? Really, What is it about this bit of legislation that has the progressives so frightened that they felt it necessary to slip it into THIS bill? To be honest, it is my personal belief that this was put into the bill so that the supporters of the bill would have another anvil upon which to hammer anyone who objected to the Health Care Reform Act. In the press, any and all objectors have been called; racist, right wing extremists, Christian Fascists, inbred, Hillbillies, ignorant, stupid, etc,,, for standing up and exercising their 1st Amendment right to Peacefully Assemble, and voice their objection to a Government policy that appears on it's face to be a massive power grab. These objector's are all of these nasty things, and more, because they believe in a world where a smaller, less obtrusive government is better. A world where personal responsibility is king. Oh, that position is just HATEFUL. For the press; Get a GRIP, a**holes. Try reporting a story, instead of spinning and editorializing, and then wrapping that product as News. And they wonder why their audiences are getting smaller. The problem with the Student Funding provision is; this provision literally is a Government takeover of the Student loan process. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac both came into being as Government Subsidized guarantors of student loans. They were both, also private entities, publicly traded on the NYSE. That is no longer true. They are now agents of the Government, wholly owned subsidiaries of Uncle Sam. Does anyone besides me, see a problem with that?
Now, the supporters of this abomination of legislative garbage, have finally admitted that this law is just the first step towards redistribution of wealth, in the name of social justice. Marxism, plain and simple. If you want to really be scared, do a little research and see exactly how Marxism has affected the people of the countries where it has been implemented, throughout history. In every single case, anyone who openly criticizes the government in power, is either imprisoned, or summarily executed, just for speaking their mind. And lest we forget, Hitler's National Socialist Workers Party, falls into this category, too. The only reason that the Nazi's were identified as politically "Right", was because, for the German election of 1933-34, the two most popular movements in Germany were the Nazi's and the Communist's. Both were using, virtually the same rhetoric, and were alsot indistinguishable from each other. The Nazi's agreed to take the stance of being the political right, as a way of separating themselves from the Communist's for the purposes of that election. The Communist's were not enemies of the Nazi's at that point, and in fact Hitler and Stalin got on quite well, ideologically. The official Communist reaction to the Nazi rise to power in Germany was quite favorable, "First Brown, then Red". The tensions that ended with Germany invading Eastern Europe, and Russia was based on a 400+ year old racial feud between Russians and Prussians. Political differences had no part in it.
So, let's sum all of this up. The current Government is growing too large and powerful, aided by a media that thinks that the population of the country is stupid, and will fall for anything as long as they package it properly. The opposition to this growth in Government is smarter, more inclusive, and FAR more tolerant of those who are opposed to them, than their opposition is.(See any rally, administered by SEIU) These TEA Party members are so radical, they even clean up after themselves. How intolerant and outrageous is that? They seem to welcome everyone, so long as the newcomer is civil. Apparently, public civility matters to these folks. Shouting is OK, as long as it's based on an issue, and not a personal attack. They seem to denounce those attacks, every time, despite what the media reports, and several of the more controversy seeking politicians, have to say. Apparently these TEA party folks attended school when good citizenship was still a part of the curriculum. I think I know whom I would rather associate with.
Oh, by the way, anyone who is still confused about the relevance of the title to the article: You have not been paying attention. The rallies that have been run by SEIU, in support of President Obama, and , (supposedly) his agenda, have brutalized anyone who openly criticizes or disagrees with the agenda or the man. These tactics were last seen in Germany, in the early 30's. The Nazi Brownshirts would beat down any voices in opposition at rallies for Hitler. Anybody want to guess what color shirts the SEIU thugs wear?
